MCOR questions and understanding

Measured both of my MCOR's that I have out of the cart and this is what I found for my resistance measurements.
Just for my reference is the Controller looking for 5KΩ-0 and closer to 0Ω the better off I am?
Or is the controller only looking for a 5KΩ difference? If the Ω In test 1) there is 5311Ω Difference from pedal up to pedal down. Is that all it is looking for? Would I see more speed if the controller was actually seeing closer to 0Ω when pedal is down instead 1000Ω?

MCOR #1
Pedal up 6.29 KΩ
Pedal Down .979 KΩ

MCOR #2
Pedal up 7.55 KΩ
Pedal Down 1.073 KΩ

MCOR 1 is normal and fine.
MCOR 2 is wacked ( too high or atleast at the upper limits)
