Wiring new Dc/dc converter
I just bought a new 48v/36v-12v 30amp converter. Here is my old wording diagram.
Inputs Blue=+48/36V Yellow=48/36V GND White= enable +48/36v Outputs Red=+12v Black= 12v grnd New converter: Yellow= 48/36v + from battery Green= 48/36 Switched input Black= GRND Red= +12 switched output Blue=12 constant output + Little different converter from the original one. Will this work I replace of my old one? |

Re: Wiring new Dc/dc converter
The only thing I can think is they are giving you and opportunity to use a 48v switched input (which is what I would do) or a 12v switched output. They must be using the ground in common(?) Strange set up regardless.... So in other words the "Red= +12 switched output" would not be used. All others would be. And that is assuming the green is the "Trigger" wire for switching purposes.

Re: Wiring new Dc/dc converter
Your new converter has dual +12v outputs:
The BLUE is always ON and You would use for anything that requires +12v at all times, like a radio memory preset or USB port. The wire Map: OLD <--> NEW |

Re: Wiring new Dc/dc converter
So when I hook it up, my ground to the new converter is all built into the single ground? Then the blue wire that’s 12v I can leave unhooked unless I need it for a radio or usb?

Re: Wiring new Dc/dc converter
Awesome I seem to be understanding all this now. Haha
Also on the Ground do I connect the 12v (Black) and 48v(yellow) to the new ground (black) or just use the 48v and leave the 12v alone? |

Re: Wiring new Dc/dc converter
Connect all of the negative wires (grounds) together, if You need to extend the black wire from the new Converter, use 12ga wire.

Re: Wiring new Dc/dc converter
The black goes to ground.
The yellow to 48 volt positive. Do not ground yellow. |
