36 v Resistor Cart / Adding 12v to the 36v chain at high speed
Please knock this idea down, as it seems extremely simple to me.
I'd like to add more power to my motor at high speed by adding an additional 12 volts to the high speed contacts. Forgive me I'm new to golf carts. As im inspecting the contacts on the pedal it wipes 5 contacts. I'm assuming the first is just grounded then it will consecutively sends the power through the resistors until the final contact where the resistors are bypassed ad we are at full power. From this final contact the wire comes out and directly into A1 on the motor. I'm assuming this is 36 volts. Can I take this wire off of the A1 on my motor (36v) and tie it directly to the negative of a 12v battery. Then from the 12v battery straight to the A1 on the motor. This should give me a total of 48 volt to my 36 volt motor. I does not seem like this would affect any of my electronics at all, or solenoids etc. Attaching some pictures. |
