Newbie with questions....
I have always wanted to redo a golf cart. My daughter has been asking lately if we are going to do it soon, so I started looking. I want a project and have come across this older club car. Is there anything I need to know about this type of cart, or any reason to steer clear of it. I like the rear end style of it a lot.

All I know about it at the moment is what it says in the description, 36 volt, good charger, needs brake work, runs.

Re: Newbie with questions....
That’s a Club Car DS. Probably a 5 solenoid resistor cart. I’ve never seen one set up like that though! Usually the batteries are arranged differently with the solenoids in back.
Great carts to build though. |

Actually I take that back—- does it have three pedals? It could be an old Caroche with a DS body.

Re: Newbie with questions....
Then there is something you should avoid- parts are not easily available for those unusual hydraulic brakes.

Ok, thanks for the info guys, I'll tell my daughter it's back to the drawing board, I'm sure I'll be back with more questions, but thanks again for the info.
