Blown gaskets?
Here I am again looks like I have blown gaskets upper and lower best cheapest place to buy new ones? Should I replace the pistons and such while I’m at it, this thing still runs but it’s starting to get sluggish, pics attached

Click the site sponsors link at the top.of the page and call David hicks at revolution golf cars. You're best off getting the OEM parts if they're still available, and if they are he will have them.

Re: Blown gaskets?
Couldnt tell you... the only KF82 I've owned was a carryall and I just removed 2 bolts to remove the bed and had all the room in the world.
If you've got 65psi and it wasnt knocking or smoking, I'd bet dollars to donuts it's just the head gasket. That's a pretty quick and easy fix. The bottom gasket can leak oil but wont affect compression. And theres enough compression, and judging by thr blowout on the top there, your rings are probably fine. You could replace the head gasket in a half hour easy. But even if you decide to replace both, and do rings and stuff you can do it all without removing the motor. Pull the exhaust, carb, and fan shrouds. Then you can get to all 6 nuts and remove the cylinder with it in the cart still. |

Re: Blown gaskets?
Yes very simple unhook battery first then unhook starter gen. next unhook the first part of the exhaust take belts off helps to get it out if you take the front half of the air filter box off then the four bolts and nuts on the bottom should slide right on out not to heavy about 60 ish pounds

Re: Blown gaskets?
Sweet guys, ya it’s most deff the head gasket, still runs pretty good just randomly sluggish, it smoked once then stopped hasn’t done it since. This motor has never been apart either.

Re: Blown gaskets?
Think I’ll pull the whole motor and do the full job and clean it up, your right looks pretty easy to get it out
