Please help diagnose - video in link
Hi guys, new user.
2000 txt pds Replaced solenoid, all new batteries. I press on accelerator, and sometime it goes, sometimes not. Sometimes it inches forward, sometimes it jolts at regular speed. Reverse seems to work better, but still intermittent. Someonensaid microswitch possibly? I posted a video to the subreddit r/golfcarts if anyone can tale a look, im not able to post the link here Wondering if i need a new controller? |

I'm no guru, but the controller is the last thing you'd want to replace as a diagnostic "maybe this will work" approach. Cross my fingers, I haven't had to dig into the accelerator pedal box, but I think you need to look inside it. Check for corrosion and clean any you find. Check for loose wires too. BTW, did the cart behave this way before you replaced the parts you mentioned? Mike |

Re: Please help diagnose - video in link
Solenoid is activating even when it doesn't want to go. That tells you that power is going that far, so you can rule out a control issue.
Wondering what solenoid you put in there, as that can cause your issue. Did you buy the cheapest solenoid that you could find? If so, that's your issue. Being that it will sometimes run normal, rules out batteries. Ive never seen a controller do that, so Id rule that out. Motor can cause the issue also, it would be short brushes, or brushes stuck in the holders. Easy fix. In summary, solenoid, or motor issue |
