2. If you bypass the solenoid's contacts by placing the controller side cable on the battery side terminal along with the heavy gauge cable from the battery, you've bypassed the solenoid's contacts and the battery pack is connected to the motor and controller 100% of the time. It is true you still have to have the Run/Tow switch in Run, a direction selected on the F/R switch, the key ON and press the pedal to get cart to move, but if the if the controller fails (MOSFETS short), you cannot stop the cart and if the motor or controller start smoking and sparking, you cannot disconnect the battery pack by lifting your foot off the pedal and you'll be culpable for any and all damages caused.
I changed mine so output side of controller still has large cable going to A2 on motor. The b+ on controller is on input side of controller (has constant pack voltage). I think the solenoid would still have to be activated and move current across solenoid from b+ to A2 for the cart to move. I guess the controller having pack voltage all the time could cause problems?

I figured out why the battery cable “b+” on controller shouldn’t be connected to pack voltage (input of solenoid) all the time. When you charge the cart, excess voltage during the charging process goes to the controller and gives me an error on my charger. So, changed it back to output side of solenoid. It’s back to giving me the undervoltage error when the pedal is pressed. The cart seems to run normal but gives me the code.

So, I had an extra “36v” solenoid laying around. I changed it out with my current one. It seems to run fine but I still get the same error code... I’m at a loss. Any ideas?
