ezgo pds stuttering
have a ezgo pds cart here, 2004 model that I guess is the st/sport(has the factory lights installed in the cowl, not the standard txt type cowl) appears to be original motor and controller. Just put in new trojan t-105's. The cart is stuttering intermittently on acceleration and at speed. I already found worn through insulation of both of the field wires where they go around the battery tray, replaced both of those wires. Problem seems to be less often now but still happens. Motor is getting very warm to the touch after just a short drive. I'm suspecting a bad motor but trying to get some input before replacing it. Any thoughts?

Re: ezgo pds stuttering
I dont know your particular at all, I am trying to get you some action.
If your motor has brushes (not all do) worn brushes are a common cause of stuttering. All the same, most alternator shops can service motors which would be cheaper than springing for a new motor. |
