440amp navitas controller
I recently installed a 440 amp Navitas controller on a stock 36v TXT PDS.I was hoping to see some improved Torque, but it seems exactly the same as stock. Am I missing something, upgrading the solenoids perhaps?
Does have new batteries 4G cables. Running about 20mph top speed on flat ground, 13mph uphill grade. Any suggestions on cotroller setttings? Thanks for any input. |

Re: 440amp navitas controller
The motor's RPM determines how many amps it can draw and a stock PDS controller will pass 300A to the motor, so the only time there will be an improvement in torque is at motor RPMs lower than the max RPM the motor is capable of drawing 300A.
The get a higher uphill speed you need to up the voltage of the battery pack to 42V or 48V. If you are running a stock solenoid (85A rated contacts), it needs to be upgraded to 200A or more. |
