Question about voltage reducer
I've got a 2002 Club Car DS.
I bought a 48V-12V 30A reducer about a year ago and I'm finally getting around to installing it. The reducer I bought has four wires coming off it. Red (w/ fuse), green, yellow, and black. Label on the side says: Input: Red+ Black - Control: Yellow Output: Green + Black - Where exactly do these wires go? Thanks |

Re: Question about voltage reducer
Red and black go to your 48v battery bank. Yellow to the output of your key switch.
Green is to power your 12v accessories. Hopefully going to a fuse block distribution box. 12v accessories share the battery bank ground. Should be some kind of distribution block. Don't use chassis for ground like on a car. |

Re: Question about voltage reducer
Do you happen to have a schematic showing how that's done?
Can that yellow wire be connected directly to the controller? The factory reducer that was on the cart, was connected directly to the original controller. |

Re: Question about voltage reducer
Found this diagram online that fits what I was saying.
Yes you can connect the trigger wire to the controller. This would be the key on signal to the controller. |

Re: Question about voltage reducer
So do you connect the yellow wire directly to the starter or do you splice the yellow wire into the appropriate wire coming out of the starter?
Thanks |
