Looking for Lift kit
Hello - I am new, i looked for the answer to this but did not see it anyplace. please redirect me if i missed it.
I have a 2013 CC Precedent is Excel with a regen motor. SN: PH1339- I am going to lift the cart and eventually change the motor, controller, etc., but for now I am just going to lift it up. I am lost when it comes to how much to lift / what size tires to get. It looks like I can get 23 inch tires in a 6 inch, but most of the combos I find have 24 inch tires, so this makes no sense to me. I don't need any real off road clearance, this is purely an appearance job. I *think* I want something about 20 inches tall but I think that is only 3 or 4 inches taller than the stock cart I have. Is there a reference guide someplace, or can you share pics of your carts and let me know what the lift / tire size is? I am going to keep road tires on it if that matters. Also, any dealers that are better than others? I looked at Jason's because they advertised here but I want to buy from the best. Thanks, |

Re: Looking for Lift kit
I went with 22" OD tires, 12" wheels and a 4" All Sport kit and really like it. 6" feels a little top heavy for some, and makes it a little harder to pop in and out of the cart if you're smaller. For me, I have a 4 year old, so it matters.

Re: Looking for Lift kit
It's not a precedent but mine has a 4" All-Sport A-arm lift and 22's w/12" wheels. I like how it fills the wheel wells. Yours should look similar as far as wheel clearance if you went that route.

Re: Looking for Lift kit
I have a 6" lift with 23" tires on my 2011 Precedent. If you're just looking for appearance and don't actually need off-road ground clearance, I would recommend the 4" lift also. It'll give you the look you want and keep the center of gravity lower to the ground. Some people try to squeeze the biggest tires they can because tire size relates to top speed if that's something you're concerned about.
