Default unknown black battery unconnected cable

I just added 2 new lithium 48 v batteries and a voltage reducer for the lights, horn etc, and everything works, BUT, I see I have one black battery cable not connected - it is in the back and difficult to see what it leads to since its in a plastic tube - any ideas what this cable is for ? i am afraid to connect it to the 48 v batteries as it might require 12v like the lights - it wont reach my voltage reducer on the driver side - any advice would be appreciated. thx

You should probably get a better photo and explain the battery setup you have.

my connection: two 48v lithium batteries connected in parallel to get 60 Ah - the voltage reducer is attached for the 12v lights horn, etc. There is a faint yellow arrow pointing to the black wire that is not connected to the batteries or the voltage reducer) - everything works so not sure what this black connecting wire is for - dont want to connect to the 48v batteries in case its an accessory and requires only 12v but it doesnt reach my voltage reducer - i suppose i could get an extension wire and connect it to the reducer and see what happens. Not sure.
