yellow and grey wire to OBC
Hi guys. I bought a 2010 Club Car IQ (PQ1008-080779) hat wont start. I see a yellow and grey wire going to OBC that seem to be plugged-in the OBC socket in a strange way and the grey one sparks when the socket is plugged onto the OBC. They have a strange green plastic plug around them in attached pictures. Could you know what function the have?
The grey one sparks when it gets current. |

Re: yellow and grey wire to OBC
That plug is for the Controller, not the OBC.
Yellow is one of the throttle signal wires. Grey is 48v from the Tow Run switch. Where does it spark? The green collars are insulators where someone probably did a repair to the ends of those wires. They may have been put there as some attempt to keep those two wires from pulling out of the connector. Or possibly as some way to prevent corrosion, even though they’re mostly useless since that connector is not sealed in any way. What do the pins look like on those two wires? Different than the other pins? |

Re: yellow and grey wire to OBC
Thanks for the reply. The pins of these two wires are the same as the other pins
