Might consider adding a small batterey tender to keep the acessory battery charged. I Got one from Harbor Freight and mounted it right by the battery. Works great.

I pretty sure the main point of anyone here is to make sure it is secure. A 12 battery of any sort used as a supply source can be used completely if it is always charged. Put a tender on it. Put a home charger on it. It doesn't matter. What you have to do is always have 12v. Anyway you can get it.
