Default stopped working

so my 93 ez go stopped working one day. It just lost all power, I can hear the solenoid click when i step on the pedal the lights don't work, the reverse buzzer works. When I plug in the charger the lights work and the cart will move. any suggestions on where to begin looking.

Cart runs with the charger connected? This tells you the problem is in the battery pack.

meaning the batteries

It is an electric cart, right?
The batteries can't move the wheels? The charger can .... my deduction is from here, that there is a problem with one or more of the batteries. The charger supplies enough power to run the cart but the batteries can not.

Ok, even though it was working fine one minute than not the other? I was backing up switched to go forward and nothing. I will check all connections and water levels on batteries. thanks.

A battery can short out one cell and that will cut the power off at the knees under load.

The only thing plugging the charger in changes is it replaces the power supply.

Connect a voltmeter to the battery pack and give us the reading while the cart is sitting still and then again when you press the gas and try to go... Lets take it from there.

So it was a bad battery connection.
The extra voltage from the charger was still high enough to run the cart even with the loss from the poor connection.
Thanks for letting us know.
