1992 ez-go marathon wont go?
Was doing ok last summer.Would charge and cycle on and off..Got like 15 mins run time.Checked some of the batteries and several was at 3 volts or less.
I removed all the trojan batteries and replaced them.Cleaned all terminals. I do have my 36 volts in several locations.I verified the throttle resistance going to controller. I anyone is familiar with the 92 any help or vital check points would greatly be appreciated. At a full charge the cart will nudge forward about a quarter inch in either direction... Thanks all!!!!! Re: 1992 ez-go marathon wont go?
What is the battery pack voltage? (Fully charged will be about 38.2V for a 36V pack)
Lift rear wheels off ground and put on jack stands. Measure voltage between B- and M- terminals on controller when solenoid first clicks. It should be FULL battery pack voltage. If not, you have excessive resistance in a cable, connection or set of contacts in the high current loop. (Here's a schematic with high current loop traced) IF so, slowly press throttle pedal to floor. Voltage should smoothly decrease to zero. Let us know what you find. |
