Default Digital voltage gauge reading high in dash

I recently installed a 2 wire digital LED voltage meter in the dash of my series TXT. I used the hot wire on the key switch (with switch on) for the (+) and ran the negative to the battery (-). When fully charged, the meter shows 42.3+/- volts while the pack shows 38.2 with a multi-meter.

What may be the issue?

What reading do you get when you measure the pack directly using a dedicated connection instead of the keyswitch?

38.2 with the digital gauge or the multi-meter.

You could have a high battery reading right after your charger drops out and before the batteries settle. That is one possible explanation. Good to see that all is well at the moment. - RAY
