EZGO vs ClubCar
I am very familiar with early 90's club car carts but was recently offered a 98 EZGO in excellent shape (garaged) for about 1500 bucks and comes with new windshield, battery, and rear seat setup. I intend to lift it and make it a slightly offroad unit for camping etc. I am not familiar with EZGO carts and for some reason am not finding info easily online. Few Questions:
Who makes the engines? Issues I should look out for? Am I better off with the Club car for what I want to do (reliability)? Can I get a better price elsewhere? Thanksl |

Re: EZGO vs ClubCar
If stock engine, it will likely be a Fuji-Robins 295cc. If it's in good shape and you can get it for $1500 with the rear seat kit, I'd definitely do it. The lift kit and wheels will cost you $600-$800. I think it's a good deal.

Re: EZGO vs ClubCar
A nice, stock Ez-Go TXT(96-up)is worth $1000 to $2500(newer bring more money) all day long with a top and rear seat options alone. If its' clean, and in working-order,its' worth $1500 all day, especially with the new parts and the seat-kit.They are a very simple cart, yet very durable off-road.Overall,any of the 3 major mfgs. are roughly equal.Hope this helps.
