Default Stock Motor or Not

I have read through the post for EzGO and saw no links for determining the type of motor I am running on my 95 Medalist.
I bought this cart "as is". It has a new controler, seems stock from pictures I have seen, new solinoid, new FR switch. But from the looks of the motor I believe it to be the original.

These are the numbers on the motor
Part# 73124G01 A 44-4001
Serial# 35539
36V
Rating AV 2500 Fleet Speed

Qusetion: Is this the stock 36V motor

That is a stock motor for a cart with a DCS drive system.

Does your cart have a Run/Tow switch on the controller Cover?
If not, it is the wrong stock motor for your cart.

First I thank-you for your speedy reply. I first went to another gof cart forum and it has been 3 days with no reply and most of the threads are not even aswered. I realize people have lives and no one is getting paid, However I have had a forum and it is important to at least show up!

Second. I will use your sponsors and purchase where I can

Third back to topic. Yes I have a run tow switch. Your link did not open for me though. I have new batteries from SAMS. I also have the Textron 20484 charger. After a week of break in on the batteries. I am pleased with the performance. But with a 3-5 mile run the motor seems hot. I was wondering the life span of these motors with decent care.

Forth. With all the refits. (From a qualified shop). THe only thing I see out of place is the FR switch. I am sure it is not stock. At least from all the pictures I have seen. This switch is not the big black lever and the back of the switch is not the silver disk I have seen on the compare pictures available on line. Will that effect performance?

I hope i was not to long winded..

First - I'm not part of management, just a forum member like you.

Second - I'm not a site sponsor either, but I buy my stuff from them and suggest/recommend them to others.

Third - If original, your motor is 21 years old, so it might need some TLC.
It is normal for the motor to warm up considerably and if the cart is running tires taller than stock (stock is 18" tall), it will warm up more.
Call Plum Quick (site sponsor) and talk to them. http://www.plumquick.com/
They rebuild DCS motors for a reasonable price and kick the performance up a notch or two in the process.

Fourth - All the F/R switch in DCS and PDS carts do, is tell the controller which direction to send the current through the field windings, so if the cart goes forward and backwards, the F/R switch is working normally. If the carts performance is lacking in either direction, the problem is something other than the F/R switch.
1995 was the first year the DCS was produced and the F/R assembly might not look the same as they did in later years. I know there were at least two versions electrically from looking at the schematics, but I don't know what they looked like physically.
BTW - Some people have replaced the F/R in a DCS cart with a rocker switch on the dash like the one used in a PDS cart.
