Environmental cover and Alltrax
I am trying to get my environmental cover over my Alltrax and I cant get it to go! I am thinking of leaving it off. I have noticed some guys from here are running their carts without them. Is it OK? Has anyone else tried to get that D--N thing on and had trouble?

Re: Environmental cover and Alltrax
Well, after doing some searching, I see that indeed, lots of guys don't have their environmental covers on. Topless, I might admit..........
So, it sound like I will be OK, but not to let the controller/solenoid get wet, then? Also, I guess I am going to have to relocate the Run/Tow switch? |

Re: Environmental cover and Alltrax
i had to cut some of the bottom portion where the cables go in, just took another in out of it, but im sure your problem is not with the wires, probably with the size of the controller

Re: Environmental cover and Alltrax
it wont fix with an alltrax controller, you have to cut the bottom half off to use it, or make a bracket for the TOW/RUN switch and get rid of the cover,

Re: Environmental cover and Alltrax
I don't know of anyone that puts it back on....for the simple reason it doesn't fit! lol but on top of that......the controller is totally sealed, so no real need. but depending on your carts model....you may need to make a mount for the RUN/TOW switch

Re: Environmental cover and Alltrax
Well, I took my cut off tool and I sliced off the bottom flange of the environmental cover. It works good, and at least it protects the controller/solenoid a little! Thanks everyone!

This is how my DCX400 was installed when I was running 36V.

Re: Environmental cover and Alltrax
If you have a cover installed over the controller your controller is TOO SMALL.
