Re: Anyone running an Admiral Motor?
Yep, it's great isn't it. Do you have an Alltrax? If so what do you have your Throttle Up Rate set at? I have mine at 4 with Turbo on, anything else is just simply too powerful.

Re: Anyone running an Admiral Motor?
I am really happy with the motor. It's amazing how fast and responsive the cart is.

Re: Anyone running an Admiral Motor?
Don't mean to open an old thread.
My motor is still running strong and fast. I do notice the whine/bearing sound is only noticeable after the cart has been running for a short time. At first its quiet. It seems after the motor has been running and warms up the sound starts. It's not loud, I just know it's there. Any chance it could be bearings? Any way to lube them? |

Mine is still running strong as well, and I've installed 2 others all working great!

Re: Anyone running an Admiral Motor?
I think you can add grease if you pull the motor off or change the bearing but a pro will let you know for sure lol
So another words don't listen to me just yet. Let's wait and see what someone else says lol |

Re: Anyone running an Admiral Motor?
i have a club car with an admiral motor installed. the motor has no speed sensor at all, boss wants me to "get her runnin" new at this ,mostly auto mech. not sure what yr the cart is. they think its a 95. motor has ( a1,a2,s1,s2). control box has (a1,a2,f1,f2,p,n,) i am worried i will melt down something if not carefull. found diagram on club car regen (fx302) looks close but has questionable areas. hope someone can help. have read through forums and it looks like ya'll are the people to ask . thanks !

Re: Anyone running an Admiral Motor?
I am very disappointing with this motor, I installed the 8.4 hp pds/dcs motor in my 98 txt and the stock 2.25hp motor performaed just as good and i actually got more speed out of the factory motor, 33mph and I only got 29 out of this (HIGH SPEED) motor.

Re: Anyone running an Admiral Motor?
You were running 33 mph on stock motor? ****, was this 36 or 48 and what controller you are running. Im about to buy this motor for my 97 dcs. It barely goes up slight incline. Is running 18-19 on flat with navitas 440a

Re: Anyone running an Admiral Motor?
Had an Admiral - blew it - be sure to keep RPM's below 7000 if you have a programmable controller.
They do rip though... fast motor, got my EZGO up to 42 with that motor - then it blew up!! |
