Looks like your axle is above the springs. Most lift kits I have installed move it below the springs and use stock shackles.

Yep. I'm changing once I get the parts.

Thanks.

I think once you get the new springs, correct height on the shackles, and shocks on the beast, you will like it much better. Remember, shocks just dampen the roll 'n bumps.....much nicer on the kidneys!!

Am I the only one who thinks the springs appear to be mounted upside down?

The ends do curve down instead of up, but the stacking appears to be correct with the shorter leaves below the longer ones.

Not sure what some people are seeing. The loop on the end is on the top of the spring, which is usually correct. Camera angle might be distorting the arch at the end of the main leaf.

And during teardown yesterday, I saw that it has no rear shocks.

I ordered the rear blocks and shocks and am going to rebuild the rear a little better.

Thank you all.
Sometimes it is best to wait until you get the ride height right to order shocks. Depending on the manner the cart is lifted and where the shocks mount, the shock length might change.

This configuration is very common in this area right now. There is a company out there that is buying up fleets of TXT48's and "refurbishing" them. One of the ways they have made it cost effective for themselves it only purchasing a front spindle lift and then fabricating the long shackles. This saves time because its way faster to install a front spindle lift in the front than a drop axle. The rear is faster because they just replace the shackles instead of taking the time to put the leaf springs on top of the axle. The ride quality is pretty sloppy especially when turning.

Is it common to take out the rear shocks on this "refurb"?
