Cart stop and then go after short breaks
Best I can figure out is that I have a Ryder Golf Cart. All the parts seem to interchange with EZGO golf cart parts. The Problem: The cart will run for short distances (stop & Go). While in between stop and go you can hear a clicking sound when you press the accelerator. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance for the help. |

Re: Cart stop and then go after short breaks
Welcome to BGW!
Got any pictures of the golf car? Check all your connections and make sure they are clean and tight. Take them off ONE AT A TIME, clean the connection with a steel bristle brush and re-connect. Use some battery protectant or wheel bearing grease to keep the connection from corroding. Check connections at least once a month if not once a week. Check the water in the batteries. USE ONLY DISTILLED WATER. Distilled water can be found at just about any grocery store and is cheap. Fill each cell with distilled water to about 1/4 inch above the lead plates. Fill BEFORE charging. After fully charging you can top off the water level. This procedure keeps the water from boiling out and getting battery acid all over the place. The water level needs to be checked at least once a month, more often if you charge frequently. |
