Re: Dash Control panel
I am feeling like I am going to have to find an alternative location away from the dash. I would like a sharp and clean looking control panel.

Re: Dash Control panel
I understand your trepidation but go for it. I thought about it for a couple of days then jumped right in. I used a jig saw, standard drill bits and a dremel. I taped over the area I wanted to cut/drill and marked the cuts on the tape. If cutting out a square or box for a switch panel or similar drill holes in the corners to avoid a crack starting there either by stress from the saw or from daily use thereafter. If using a jig saw get a new fine tooth blade. In fact if you are suspicious of the sharpness of any of your blades/bits get new ones. Will be worth it I think. If you have to drill a relatively large hole make a pilot hole with small bit first so the big bit doesn't skip around. Prep is the key. Measure several times before cutting. The carbon fiber look plastic dash that I got was quite durable for cutting I thought.

Re: Dash Control panel
these are small switches but look cool
All you need is a 3/4"(19mm) hole and the switch will sit in nicely |

Re: Dash Control panel
Those look like they would work well. They tighten down much like a key switch?
Do you know where I can get those .. Shawn |

Re: Dash Control panel
Yes I am very happy with them. I bought them off eBay and got a 10 pk pretty cheap. Don't remember what I paid for sure. They light up nice at night and go well with the other blue leds on the cart.
