Default 02 ezgo pds lifted steering ???'s

i am building a front lift for my cart. i lowered the mounting point of the springs 6". i already have a 5" drop axle. when doing this i was gonna extend the steering shaft but the ears of the yoke hit at this angle. my question is... is it better to build a bracket and angle the steering assembly towards the steering shaft to minimize the angle or....
use tubing to make spacers to lift the steering assembly back up to the original height, thanks!!
