Kawasaki or Graziano Rear End?
Hello,
I have a bit of a Frankenstein Club Car. The rear end is a 97-2013 Club Car DS Gasser (body is an electric). I would like to put a set of high speed gears in the golf cart (have a 22hp vtwin swap). I have done some research and not found a definitive answer on this subject. So hopefully someone can help. I've searched, looked at the Illustrated Parts Lists (IPL) for the years, but I am not confident in my answer. Are there both Kawasaki and Graziano rear ends on Gassers during those models years? The IPL shows only one type of rear end. I am aware there's a sticker showing the manufacturer but I have cleaned up the rear end and repainted it (so no sticker). My rear end matches the images/diagram. Thank you all for the help! |

Do you have a picture of the transaxle to see which side the input shaft is on?

I'm assuming you mean the side the clutches are on? It's the passenger side.

Re: Kawasaki or Graziano Rear End?
I believe the Graziano rear end is the one used on the 1997-up gas carts. But we could easily ID it with a good photo.
Noticed that your cart has a pre-1992 steering wheel and a pre-1993 rear main body. Is it an older cart? |

Re: Kawasaki or Graziano Rear End?
Yep it's a 90 body (electric), 97+ rear end, and a Predator 670. Like I said bit of a Frankenstein. Runs great though. Ital pop huge wheelies but I need some better top end.
I attached the two pictures I have. Anyone notice my catch can? |

Re: Kawasaki or Graziano Rear End?
Going by my research I thought it was a Kawasaki.

Re: Kawasaki or Graziano Rear End?
Any transaxle from 1997 to around 2012 was a Kawasaki clockwise rotation "Unitized Transaxle" on a gasser,
Graziano's were a flip/flop on electric carts in a lot of cases. From your 2nd pic, it looks like a unitized transaxle, with a pic from the clutch side, It'll probably look like mine... 002 - Copy (2).JPG |
