Default Re: 72v motor in a 60v system? Keyway VS. Spline?

I have a 4 seater Urbee myself and I'm also looking on how to obtain more torque, the vehicle will not go up a steep hill, but will run forever on semi flat ground and do about 20 MPH. what was your final outcome of this project, i was just wondering if the gear ration on the rear end could be changed?

Regards
