Default Engine cuts off

i was driving my 290cc yesterday when all of the sudden the thing died. checked the fuel and there was enough, the fuel filter that goes from the tank to fuel pump is empty, but the one right before the carb was full. i would be able to drive the cart as long as i "pumped" the choke. then all of the sudden the cart was fine again. now its doing the same thing. any insights?

Check the pulse hose that runs from the engine to the fuel pump for cracks just because it's easy.
If that's not it then I would pull the carb and clean/blow out the trash that is floating around in the bowl.

At the pump there is a fuel line in, a fuel line out and a pulse hose that makes it pump. Fuel line can be used as a pulse hose. I was talking about the pulse hose and just wanted to make sure you checked the right one.

I had heard that the vent line from the carb to the frame,
can cause a problem similar to that, if the end of it is plugged with dirt!

(just a suggestion for something easy to check!)

yea, i wouldnt be suprised if it were clogged because my CC goes through some pretty nasty stuff. im thinking its something partially clogged because when i choke it, the cart will run for a second then die, then i pump the choke and can get it to drive a little.

This happened to me, & my cart acted similar to what you described.
