I have a 4" block lift & it is enough for 20s. 22s might rub a bit when your loaded down, or in a hard turn.

Th cart I bought has 3" lift with 23s on it. Looks cool and does ok if the ground is flat and you don't mind taking a half a block to turn around. I bought it for the lake trails which are neither flat nor filled with acres of wide open country to turn in. The mail didn't run today, so much for rain, sleet, hail or snow delivery, maybe tomorrow.

going with the 5" should work out just fine with 23's, if you look at the pic of my cart with 22's you'll see that there's plenty of room.

As to the debate about physically lifting the cart yourself or using my method - you be the judge, LOL, just follow my advice and NOT my photo if you decide to use tools. I recommend REAL jack stands, a jack that actually GOES high enough, etc (the 12-pack applies to any method you choose, however!) :)

I agree, I have been thinking about how I am going to get this thing lifted high enough and still be stable and safe enough to work around. I think I will have another and think some more. I am still mulling over the clutch thing too that Pachanga mentioned earlier in this post. I don't think I understand which clutch can't be rebuilt. If I have my terms correct, its the clutch and not the driven clutch that is making the noise and can't be rebuilt? Or to explain as best I can, its the smaller of the two clutches which is on the passenger side and the driven clutch is on the driver's side? I recall seeing a video in this forum about the driven clutch.

Pretty sure both clutches are on the drivers side.

One way to lift the body would be from a garage beam or support. I've used a $45 Harbor Freight 1 ton chain hoist for lifting boat engines.

You got it, doozerann. With the 3/5 offset wheels. No rubbing, some increase in top speed to about 23 mph...... before we smoked the drive clutch.

Cherry picker is another good option.
