Has anyone purchased a starter off eBay for a g2? There listed for about 130$ not sure how much shipping is but anyone have any reviews?

Far as i know they arent the same quality as oem made items. It may or may not last you in the long run. I would consider it only as a last resort.

Ok. Well 130 compared to 230.... I might just try it and see how it goes. Anyone else possibly have used these before?

Anyone have the model number for the stock starter? I don't want to pull it out just yet. Just wondering if anyone had it available. Thanks

Whats wrong with the starter on the car? They are pretty robust, I'd have that one rebuilt before I'd do ebay anything!!

Well it's not reading any volts at the starter once the gas pedal is pressed. Also if I tap on it with a hammer it will free up and start spinning. How hard is it to rebuild a starter? Any threads on how to?

I seen this starter as well and was debating it.
I have no starter that came with cart, so I have to get one and it is much cheaper. I understand that you get what you pay for sometimes but has anyone bought one? If so how did it do?

I agree with Mike. Aftermarket parts can be sketchy. There were a couple previous posts here where "supposed replacements" from NAPA Auto Parts were purchased. Both starter/gens cranked the carts backwards as terminal markings were incorrect. Be careful - Good luck - RAY
