G29 Yamaha gas cart making a grinding sound
I have 2016 Yamaha gas golfcart whenever the engine starts and Cart is moving it makes like a grinding sound like a bad bearing or clutch. Can someone assist. I have a video of it but was trying to upload it.

Re: G29 Yamaha gas cart making a grinding sound
I'm not familiar with G29's at all, but older Yamaha's with this type of symptom can be due to the forward/reverse cables not adjusted properly where it will not go all the way in gear causing the gears to slip in the differential.
This is just one possibility with a simple fix: adjusting the F/R cables. It could be something totally different but I'd check this first. May be a broken roller in the drive clutch but start here. |

Check to see there is about 1/4" space between the secondary clutch and rear axle housing.
