Default 1991 G2 question. axle conversion

Found a complete G2 today after a couple years of waiting for that perfect cart. Ready to make this a done deal but I am wondering if a G16 rear axle can be put into this cart. I plan to big block the cart but feel it has to have a posi rearend for me....

Can a person find a used g-16 rear axle easily? cost? Has anyone replaced a G2/G9 rearend with a G-16 to gain a posi? I really do not want to weld the rearend. Any issues to worry about with a conversion like this?

Thanks

Yeah I know but you can buy a posi unit from a couple sources.
Do you suppose it would fit? line up, etc?

dead deal....G2 which appeared perfect had severe frame rot under the battery. The owner tried to cover it up with treadplate skid guards....too bad to deal with

Real hard to find a G2/G9 in good shape in my area
