G1, power after larger tires
I was wondering if any one had power issuses after installing larger tires on there g1"s? Im building a lift and wondering how big a tire i can go without power issues? thanks

just to let you know its a 10 inch lift, moved front tires forward 2.5", centered rear tires in wheel wells and made the width 6" wider.

I have about the same setup on my 81 G1 and still get 24.5 mph

do you have anything for more power for taking off and on hills like a clutch kit? what size tires are on your cart?

Most carts can get around with 22-23s, but 25s start to make it tough on stock power. But G1 is about the most power of any stock cart. It becomes a problem on hills mostly.

Here are the pictures, 10" lift, moved front end forward 2.5", made the front end 6" wider, dropped front of swingarm about 4", and recentered rear tires.
