EZ-GO Gas Cart Backfire
I have a 2004 EZ-GO Cart (gas). When I let out of the gas most of the time it backfires. I know you guys have heard this before. What can you tell me to do to fix this problem.

Mine was doin the same thing. I cleaned the carb real good Adjusted the valves and put some new ngk plugs in it. Don't know wich one of those things did it but it dont do it no more.

Make sure your throttle plate is closing all the way, when you're off the peddle.

Look at the carb, there is a screw on the top of it that can limit the return of the butterfly. Make sure it isn't keeping the 'throttle slightly open whan the pedal is 'off'. Stovebolt also has some great info - valve adjustments are something that many overlook...
