Gas EZGO Registration
Do gas (or any other) golf carts need to be registered?
Can they be converted to LSV's? Thanks |

Re: Gas EZGO Registration
brodave12, LSV/NEV laws vary by country, state, county, city, town, etc. There is no universal answer to your question.

Yep,I talked to NY DMV for an hour, the guy looked at every possible scenario, and could not find a way to register them in our state. As posted earlier, even towns have their own laws/regulations.Some towns say stay on the shoulder, during daylight,etc....The best thing is to talk to local town/county officials.

Re: Gas EZGO Registration
I do know that in my county, the police cruise through here once or twice a day, looking for 4-wheelers and golf carts, but none of my neighbors have gotten cited for the golf carts.
I live in Bryceville, Florida, in Nassau county. I saw the state guidelines a couple of years ago for LSV, but all I remember is something about 30-35 mph, and they have to be registered and have a tag. I think they treat them like cars, but with a few special rules. Thought maybe someone knew more specifics, but I didn't think to include my location. Big midtake :-) |

Re: Gas EZGO Registration
Florida is an exception,They have rules reguarding carts, since there are so many communities that allow them.Check your local laws. You may just need certain safety equipment and possibly a slow-vehichle triangle.
