Backup horn
I know that the backup horn is required to work for everyone's safety. If it's not illegal can someone show me how to by pass it and keep it running? I am handicaped by a back injury and only use the cart around the house to put out the garbage and do light landscaping. I do not bring it to a golf course...
Thanks for any help if possible Bob 2003 ez go electrec |

Re: Backup horn
Use a foam earplug and stuff it in the hole in the reverse buzzer. That should make it much more tenable. The buzzer is behind the key switch plate on a PDS. Also, if it is a PDS, disabling the buzzer would also disable the contoller diagnostics.

Re: Backup horn
Try this. Find buzzer and trace the wires back to the nearest connection and unplug one of them

Re: Backup horn
I translated it as meaning still working but not as annoying. Only 03eec knows for sure.

Re: Backup horn
What I want to end up with is no back up horn or a lower volumn horn. When I took a wire off the battery that I thought went to the horn, the horn stopped working but the golf cart would not run.....I hope this clears it up...
I read the thread from PGGroves and took the plate off and the buzzer was not there. Just four wires to the ignition switch. The cart is a 2003 ezgo txt.....does the txt have the buzzer in a differant place? |

Re: Backup horn
If the cart is not PDS then check for the buzzer on the back of the FNR. Make sure to disconnect power before servicing the cart.
