Default battery light and charging

I have a club car 2004 precedent. I just installed a alltrax xct 400. Had to do a little wire cutting and replacing. I have it all back together and running good. Very happy. SocttyB. Problem is now after my wiring job the battery light will blink, as if batteries are bad. I charged overnight an the charger never cut off or got below 10 volts charging. Sounded as if batteries were cooking. Batteries showed 52 volts after I unplugged the charger and let the batteries cool. Any suggestions.

Follow the "red" wire from the back of the charger receptacle and make sure it is connected to the pack positive battery post.

Since you were working with the controller I'd double check the neg wiring also.

does it matter which way the neg goes through the obc, or does it even have to go through it?

It does have to go through the OBC, but I cannot think of any other place You could have plugged that negative cable that would cause this problem.

Look in the very center of the picture I've attached. You will see some 10ga black wires circled in yellow connected together. When working on the controller it is very easy for these wires to come loose. These are for the charging circuit.
