Not to derail OP, but will the Series motor bolt right up to, and replace the PDS motor? If that is possible, what other changes, if any, need to be made in order for this to work?

Physically a series or PDS motor will line up and bolt in the same. The OP went from a series to a PDS (I did the same thing recently). Need a different controller, f&r switch, and a replacement wire harness. In addition, the wire harness for the pedal box could be replaced, or you can replace the connector on the controller side of it. Your PDS motor will also need a speed sensor connected to the controller.

😟 sounds daunting. Reason I ask is I’ve for a good lead on a really clean PDS, (hopefully for very cheap) and an almost free complete series motor cart that isn’t in the greatest of shape. Thinking of combing them since it appears that the Series cart may work better for what I want to accomplish.
Since I would probably need to upgrade the controller (considering a 48 volt upgrade), F&R switch (?). Wasn’t really planning on a TOTAL rebuild, but it may be the cheapest place to start. Doable for a novice with decent skills? 🤔
