To review, my cart started lunging real bad as I pressed on the accelerator. Almost like someone was hitting the brakes while I was at speed. So bad that I had to almost crawl back to my beach house a few weeks ago.

Last week, I bought a new MCOR4 and installed. No change.

Thinking it might be the solenoid, I bought a new HD solenoid and installed this morning. Here is where things get weird. As I pulled out into the driveway and down my road slowly, it started to lunge again. Now I'm pissed. However, I kept on driving and over the next few minutes it happened less and less.

So then I kept on driving around my circle which is .5 miles around. The first few laps it happened maybe 3 times total. After a few laps more, it happened maybe once. Then after a few more it stopped completely. I ran the hell out of it too just to see if it would do it again.

So...what in the name of Sir Isaac H. Newton is going on? Does my cart have CoronaVirus?

Did you ever find out what was causing it to lunge? Has it done it again?

No...unfortunately I have no idea what is going on. The good news is it rarely lunges anymore....but it still does it every now and then.

I've replaced the MCOR and installed an HD solenoid. That reduced the lunging quite a bit but it hasn't eliminated it completely. The only thing that is left on my car that is stock is the controller.

To me, it shouldn't be the Allied lithium batteries because it never happened until a few weeks ago and I've had them for a couple months.

I don't know if the lunging is a symptom of a bad controller or maybe the motor (PQ Bandit) has a problem?

I'm just gonna live with it, I guess.

Could the extra voltage from the lithium pack be hurting the stock controller ?

Also... if running on beach... sand will really load the motor hard.
Maybe the brushes or armature is burnt ?

Not sure about the extra voltage.....but I haven't been in any sand.

The reason why I havent considered the batteries is because it started happening several weeks after install.
