Nice! Looks as if it will clean up well (if you remove the decals and pinstripe ) and be a nice cart. Best thing about these is how a 36 volt CC motor is a direct bolt in swap, if you find an old one cheap its an easy and fun upgrade.

In answer to your question, early 48 volt series carts had the OBC with the red idiot light, newer ones and replacement OBCs come with the new and improved amber light.

Thanks. Started to take it apart and can already see some issues. There is a substantial amount of play coming from the steering gear assembly. Also, there are wiring issues. There are wires bypassed near the F-R switch, and it runs with the charger plugged in

Here are some pics as it sits now

Another question: On each battery, one post says D4 and the other says E9. The Trojans in my 03 don't have two dates

No problem. My guess is someone's bypassed the OBC. Since you need a charger for it, a DPI would be a good investment and you could permanately ditch the OBC. Also, if it's microswitch wiring that has been jumped, chances are it was to obtain full speed reverse.

The Full speed reverse wire was bypassed, along with others. I also don't have a battery light. It doesn't light up at all. Forgot to mention. Was told the charger didn't work, it ended up being a loose DC cord connection inside the charger

I sure hope the OBC isn't shot, though

To make it work on that EZGO charger you mentioned, they'd have had to bypass the OBC. If you can hook up the wires that they've messed with, you may get lucky and find the OBC is alright.

That's a heck of a dent! Hammer time.

I haven't even tried the EZGO charger. I looked at the OBC and nothing is bypassed. I am using my 03 charger for now. I let it charge for 3 hours and drove it and it is already starting to become my favorite

Plugged it in again around 8:00 or so last night and the charger just shut off now. Hope that is a good sign for the batteries! The good news is that the OBC is functioning properly
