TXT rear shaft and wheel bearing help.
I have had two wheel bearings go bad in the last 5 months on the left side with the longer shaft. I have 2" wheel spacers on the rear to even out with the Jake's long travel in the front.
Is there a better bearing to try, or any other input to look for. Do you know the exact size of it, I installed can't remember exact size. Thanks for any input or ideas. |

Re: TXT rear shaft and wheel bearing help.
Who/where are you getting the bearings from. What brand, exact model bearing.

Local auto parts store, I don't have the brand or model number, still on shaft. I know its shot, its grinding when turning, same as before.
By the way cgtech, its the 3rd one in 2 years. |

Re: TXT rear shaft and wheel bearing help.
any mudding will destroy them in a hurry.
do you have the thrust washer installed between the bearing and the hub. how careful are you when you push the bearing on to the axle. only push on the inner race. same when you put the axle assembly into the axle tube. only push on the outer race. like gtech said it could possibly be a quality issue |

I will check all when I pull it, and they are pressed off an on with press, not hammered on. The cart never goes off road, strictly street driving.

Re: TXT rear shaft and wheel bearing help.
And there are two different versions, cheap and more expensive.. You may have gotten the Chinese version.. I think like $15 for the cheap and $25 for the more expensive.. The "kit", 611931 from EZ-Go comes with the bearing, the seal and 2 clips
