Ezgo TXT won't move.
When you press the accelerator pedal it tries to move but doesn't. The batteries are fully charged. What could the problem be?

Re: Ezgo TXT won't move.
Could be the solenoid is not activating (closing) when you press the gas.
When it closes you should hear a click |

Re: Ezgo TXT won't move.
I don't hear a click but it will make a lunge in reverse and then stop the same thing in forward.

Re: Ezgo TXT won't move.
Could still be batteries.. They need to properly checked. That's your starting point

Re: Ezgo TXT won't move.
The batteries read 38.4 overall 6 batteries. Each individual battery read 6.41.

Re: Ezgo TXT won't move.
The "no click" is an indicator of the direction you need to take. The precharge resistor "trickles" in a little power to the capacitors in the controller, but only enough to cause a slight bolt, not to drive around. Your solenoid (fancy term for "big switch") is not activating. Sounds like you need to identify which type of drive system it is (likely Series), dig up the wire diagram on this site, & "go to town" with the volt meter.

Re: Ezgo TXT won't move.
After removing the cover from the solenoid and controler I do hear a click. What readings should I get across the big posts on the solenoid with and without
Power on. |

Re: Ezgo TXT won't move.
If the solenoid has a precharge resistor on the big posts - you will have to remove one end to check voltage across the main contactor (solenoid) when it clicks.
The blk test lead would be held on the battery main (-) and the red lead would be used to check for pack voltage on the battery side of the solenoid before the click and on both sides after the click. IF yes the solenoid is working and your trouble is elsewhere. |
