Default Charger Receptacle Question

I just purchased a 2005 DS IQ 48v cart with 6-8 volt batteries...I am trying thru this forum to learn as much as I can ...
From what I have read, the red wire from the charger receptacle is supposed to connect to the #1 battery but on this cart it connects to the same side of the solenoid as the battery cable from that battery...
I'm assuming that it is just another way of doing it...Everything seems to work ok so far...Right or wrong?...Thanks for any help..

Default Re: Charger Receptacle Question

That would keep the wire away from the battery acid. I can't think of a problem with it.
