no lights II
I finally had a chance to troubleshoot my lighting system this weekend with a test meter. Basically, it goes like this. There's a relay in the cart that is connected to the light switch, the front and back lights, and the hot. It looks like this:
20170528_094252[1].jpg When I flip the switch that little box make an audible "click" which previously led me to believe that both the switch and the relay were working. However, after doing a series of things I ended up taking that relay off and jumping the hot connection to the lights and viola... lights came on. 20170528_093708[1].jpg So the obvious answer is that I should replace the relay, or maybe the switch. Does anyone have experience with something like this. Does the fact that the relay "clicks" when I flip the switch indicate that one or the other might still be good? Thanks! |

Re: no lights II
The fact that it worked when you effectively bypassed the relay shows the relay wasn't working, the relay contacts are probably corroded/burnt and not sending the power down the line, I would replace the relay.

Yeah that makes total sense. I forgot to ask this in my first post... does anyone know where to find that relay?

Re: no lights II
Take it to the parts store and have them match it, should be a standard relay I would think .
