Default Re: Rear Seat Hitch

I tow a pretty large trailer in the Christmas parade each year. I have an ATV trailer hitch that I welded to a couple of 1 inch square tube and welded that to the footrest and metal bar under the bagwell. The 1" square tube looks to be about as sturdy as the square tube on the footrest already so I figure I doubled the weight limit with double the supports.

After welding it I put the empty trailer on it, stood on the hitch and bounced up and down to stress test it. I'd rather take a metal footrest to the shin then have it fail while under way. Anyway, a 245 pound skunk ape didn't cause it any issues... No idea what my max is but again I've doubled the supports.
