AGM Batteries
I found a bunch of older posts on AGM batteries but nothing recent.
Is the consensus still that AGM batteries aren't worth the extra money? Or has technology improved enough to make them worth it. I can get them for about $160 more total for four 12 volt batteries. I do have a charger that has an AGM setting. |

Re: AGM Batteries
I think you will get about 1 yr less use from these batteries. You just have to figure if that is worth it to you not to ever have to mess around with filling the cells with water routinely.

Re: AGM Batteries
I have gotten good results with Fullriver. Seen sets last longer than 5 years (5 is average life here). Their capacity is pretty much identical to the typical flooded counterpart (same as a T105). Their selling point is no stink, no corrosion, no fluid maintenance. If you don't have the charger set up correctly, the batteries will be ruined pretty quick. AGM batteries don't tolerate being pushed into gassing territory, and actually shrink as the electrolyte is destroyed.
