Marathon Electric New batteries LITTLE RUN TIME?

EZGO Marathon (2 month old 6-6volt batteries), getting no run time.
Each battery is around 7.5v, Pack voltage is 45v. Charger seems to be working, plugged in to cart ups voltage around 1.5 volts.
Tested Controller (accelerating pedal) B+ to B- get pack voltage, tested B+ to M- get 0 to pack voltage. SO the controller seems fine.
TEST Took the cart for a 500ft RIDE with volt meter started at pack voltage 44v by the time I got back voltage was 31.5 volts
Any ideas?

Check each battery with a voltmeter 12 hours after the charge has ended or after the pack voltage has dropped drastically as reported. Post those findings here for batteries #1-6. I think you will find your answer.

Thanks for getting back, I have not charged the cart since this post.
I just checked the batteries, they are all reading 7.3 to 7.5 volts ea.
I took if for another ride with volt meter attached,
started at 44volts, steeped on the accelerator voltage dropped to around 36v going down the street (speed seemed fine) , made a turn and let off the accelerator pedal, made the turn steeped on the accelerator again and there was big drop in speed and the voltage started to drop barley made it back with 20 volts showing. Could there be an issue the the pot box?

Assuming cart function is normal (you didn't say stuff was hot or smoking)

Your charger is not charging properly or 1 or more batteries are bad

i agree with scotty a battery is bad

if not i would look at the motor drawing the batteries down

I am curious why his 6v batteries are reading so high?

it is because he joined before scotty

bet it is a 48v cart (6x8v)

I would do a load test on each battery. Charge the pack, wait 12 hrs. and record the voltages of each battery. Do a load test on each battery by driving the cart up a steep hill. Record the voltage at the bottom of the hill and the voltage drop during the climb for each battery. Look for a significant drop in one or more batteries. post your results.
