Default 12 volt vs 8 volt

I currently have 8 volt it's time to replace what are the pro's and con's to the switch

Switching to 12v batteries.

Pros- minor reduced battery cost (some times no difference in cost), slight weight reduction.

Cons- everything else- reduced battery overall lifespan, reduced range per charge. 12v (t-1275) batteries won't easily fit in your current battery tray.

I would say "never do that" about the swap you are considering. I do swaps in the opposite direction all the time.

I can get the Duracell ultra 8 volt for$665 out the door at batteries plus bulbs in Jacksonville fl would you do this

You can get 6 8v T875 Trojans for $658.00 in southern Florida out the door.

i would stay away from the Duracell.....Trojan then US batteries IMHO are by far the best batteries you can use

Bird6246 thanks again for the advise this is my first cart I got a lot to learn I would rather not learn the hard way I took your advise and bought Trojans For $119 each their working great even my charger is doing right again
