Solenoids can 'click' but not make any contact. You can verify this with a voltmeter.

You can also try a solenoid bypass by installing a 6-4g battery cable from one large terminal to the other one.

Keep us posted.

I tapped on the solenoid with the back end of a screw driver while mashing the accelerator and the engine started. About that time i heard the solenoid fry.

Will someone look at my pic on the first page and see if I have the batteries wired correctly.

I am getting 37.3 volts to the solenoid. So that means I should have it wired correctly, correct?

Pull the cover off the control and give us some good pics of the solenoid install wiring and the controller connections... If the solenoid is clicking and power is reaching B+ on the control, we have to start suspecting the controller.

If you are looking at the last picture..and see the 3 large black wires with terminals at the top of the picture. I get a 37.3 reading on the right and the left terminals. The middle indicates no voltage. Is this normal?

Find the markings on those terminals B- M- and B+ ( right to left) Put the meter on B- and M- you should have same as the battery pack voltage and it should decrease as you accelerate.

I do get the same voltage as from the battery pack but it does not decrease as I accelerate.
