Going to change the rear differential oil...Book calls for a SAE 30 Oil. Any suggestion on what brand or type of SAE 30 oil to use......Thanks!

Re: Rear differential oil???
If it says 30,use 30.Kendall makes a Synthetic Sae30 Motor-Oil.I wouldn't recommend gear-oils since the rears are designed for lighter oils. They may actually over-heat and also gall bearings because of the heavier oil.I've been wrenching on Heavy-Trucks and equipment over 20yrs.,you wouldn't believe some of the weights of oils that are used where normal thinking would tell you to go heavier. Its' all about flow of the oil, since its' a splash/climbing-lube system in the rear-end.Hope this helps.

Re: Rear differential oil???
Just wanted to add,If you have an older cart(Ez-Go Marathon,Yamaha G2/G9,etc..)They use 90w Gear-Oil.Switch to 75-90 Synthetic when you change the fluid. Its' much better for performance use(Off-Road/On-Road)since its' lighter and has better lubrication properties than standard gear-oil.

Re: Rear differential oil???
So my cart is a 2008, most likely the differential fluid is original and not Synthetic. Adding synthetic now won't cause the axle seals to leaks? I've seen in the past on some older vehicles when changes to synthetic seal would leak due to the synthetic being a thinner lube base.......

Re: Rear differential oil???
FWIW: I added a couple ounces of Lucas HD Oil Stabilizer to my differential and it quietened it down a bit.
